TrueBaseline’s TrueSMS Operating
Software Validates IPsphere Framework
--Business Logic and Commercial Framework Now a Reality to
Consortium—
London, England, December 13, 2006: TrueBaseline
Corporation demonstrated to the IPsphere consortium today
how its TrueSMS operating software infrastructure makes the
IPsphere’s business logic and commercial framework operational.
This has not been accomplished until now.
TrueSMS provides an industry specific, services
oriented, object-driven, management system. It is designed
to integrate all services, resources and processes into a
single automation system. This service framework is available
to service providers, equipment vendors, BSS/OSS providers,
and network application and service delivery platform vendors.
The software can facilitate the vision of any service, anywhere,
independent of network technology.
For the first time, the members of IPsphere
saw how the service framework could manage and automate future
IP. TrueBaseline successfully demonstrated that the future
of providing IP services around the world is not far off.
The audience paid rapt attention as TrueBaseline CTO Aruna
Endabetla took them through the sequence of technology, one
step at a time.
Attending the IPsphere meeting in London
were 65 representatives of 25 major telecommunications carriers
and equipment vendors from around the world. “There’s
been a huge shift in thinking because network router companies
like Juniper and CISCO, all hardware vendors, are beginning
to react to the real challenges being presented by Service
Oriented Architecture,” said TrueBaseline CEO Stan Kramer.
“The real value propositions are transitioning
from hardware to software,” he continued. “TrueBaseline
is in the right place, at the right time, with the absolutely
right technology.”
Mr. Kramer added that network companies
that want to gain traction in the future of IP will have to
“step up” to the software layer or they’ll
be in danger of losing market share to competitors with software
frameworks.
IPsphere technology leaders firmly believe
that its vision coupled with operational technology like TrueBaseline’s
TrueSMS framework will shift the network paradigm. “This
isn’t something far off in the future,” Ms. Endabetla
said. “It’s real, and it’s ready to execute
now.
“TrueBaseline has been involved in
service management for less than a year, but it’s safe
to say that the company exploded on the scene,” said
CIMI President and noted industry analyst Tom Nolle. “To
have a startup, making its first international presentation,
command the kind of attention it has from a group of experts
drawn from companies around the world is something I’ve
never seen before.
“TrueSMS has clearly addressed
a very critical problem; in fact, one so critical that a major
telecommunications provider said that if the solution were
fully implemented it would buy it today—yesterday,”
Mr. Nolle added. “Operations cost, operations scalability,
and operations flexibility are the three largest barriers
to service provider profits, and controlling them all at one
time has just not been possible up to now—up to TrueSMS.”
